    Superb functionality

A brilliant calculator – perfectly legal in A2 since it doesn’t perform symbolic algebra. (I understand this is right – see QCA web site for current regulations)

Very thorough statistics, useful table function e.g. for trapezium rule or even trial & improvement at GCSE.

Favourite function is EQN in which you can solve quadratic by entering a,b,c coefficients – even gives complex roots!

I’d better close now before I sound like a complete anorak.

a good calculator but not for A2 exams

It is a very good calculator with all the functions that you need, but some functions are such that you are not allowed to use it in your A level exams. My daughter had to buy another for use in exams.

    best AS/A2 level calculator available

This calculator is amazing, it does everything you could want short of graphing. The calculator does both intergration and differentiation (numeircal), invaluble for checking answers in exams. It also has a brilliant stats mode, and has the ‘natural display’ that lets you input formulae as you would write them. It gives answers in surd and fraction form, allowing for the best possible accuracy. It has a complex number and matrices mode also. The calculator will also solve equations if given one of the variables eg. 2Y=3X-4, solve for X if Y=4. It will do that for almost any function (except integrals and differentials). This calculator has almost all possible functionality required for maths to A level, and is still allowed to be used in the exam. The best thing is the price, it is so cheap. Anyone not using this calculator in an exam is missing out.
